What is Sustainability Service Corps?

Sustainability Service Corps (SSC) is a bridge-to-career AmeriCorps Fellowship program that delivers professional development to emerging leaders who implement projects related to sustainability, education, and community engagement for municipalities, nonprofits, schools, and disadvantaged communities across California.

During the term of service, SSC Fellows have the opportunity to make significant contributions by leading meaningful projects while also developing as professionals, growing their networks, and establishing a career in the field.

SSC Fellows and Partners empower climate-ready communities to build a sustainable and healthy future for our people and planet.

What our fellows have to say

“I joined Sustainability Service Corps to gain experience as a new college graduate. In my role educating students and implementing zero waste best practices across the school district, I am gaining new skills, confidence in the workplace, and many professional relationships. I'm proud of how many significant projects I have contributed to my site.”
